Compliance Requirements
The Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Act, 2021 provides a transitional mechanism for persons who were lawfully conducting gambling activities immediately before the commencement of the relevant provisions of the Act.
Eligible persons are required to notify the Commission of their existing operations within the period prescribed by the Act in order to continue operating pending determination of their licence application.
Licensees must provide complete, accurate, current and timely reports, returns and notifications as required by the Act, Regulations, licence conditions and directions issued by the Commission.

Meeting Your Regulatory Responsibilities
Every person or business regulated by the Gambling (Gaming and Betting) Control Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (GCC) is responsible for understanding and complying with the requirements that apply to its licence, activities, premises, personnel, equipment and systems.
The specific requirements may differ according to the type of licence held and the nature and scale of the regulated activity. However, all regulated persons are expected to:
Responsibility Cannot Be Delegated
A licensee may appoint employees, consultants, contractors or an Authorised Person to carry out particular functions. However, the licensee remains responsible for ensuring that all regulatory obligations are properly fulfilled.
Licensees should have appropriate arrangements to monitor their own compliance, identify weaknesses and take corrective action before those weaknesses result in regulatory breaches or customer harm.
